** CUSTOM ** RE-DESIGNED ** Stand Pipe kits from DIESELSITE!
THE ISSUE WITH STAND PIPES:
The stand pipes on the market today - regardless of any claims to meet OE specifications - are tainted with poor reviews, quality issues and failures. Even kits that claim to be "enhanced" or "improved" seem to come with a heavy risk for torn o-rings or a hefty tow bill, regardless of how newly installed. Ford themselves have also switched their supplier and the original sets are no longer in production.
When comparing new Ford sets vs old OE sets, the quality is incomparable and flaws noticeable. Even more, when comparing new Ford sets vs 'enhanced' aftermarket sets, there are little changes in the design. We see wrong o-ring material and lack of back-ups, poor machining on the oil ports that are thinner and more vulnerable to breaking, and poor quality o-ring grooves and fitment.
THE DIESELSITE SOLUTION:
DieselSite's stand pipe shafts are redesigned to accept a back-up o-ring on EVERY o-ring, which is made of the proper material and hardness. They have also doubled the o-rings (and back-up o-rings) on the inside shaft and changed the tolerances to properly match said o-rings.
Comes with a 1 year warranty where Dieselsite will cover a replacement set in the event of any manufacturing defects.
INSTALLATION INFORMATION:
OUR STANDPIPES WILL COME DISASSEMBLED and GREASED. Do not reassemble dry.
While you may add additional grease, DO NOT add or use motor oil, petroleum jelly, or engine assembly lube.
These materials are not compatible or are not sufficient; use a "GC-LB" [ex: bearing] grease.
Please inspect all o-rings and confirm placement of safety o-rings prior to installation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The o-rings on our stand pipes are NON-SERVICEABLE and you should consider each seal a one-time use.
For some explanation, the 6.0L stand pipe o-rings are not to be rolled. They are of a special shape, more so than just a basic circular o-ring, and rolling these o-rings will make them susceptible to failure. Proper sealing and re-sealing procedure requires special tooling that stretches the o-ring into place where it must then sit for a period of 24-48 hours and shrink back to form. The tool to do so was never made available to the public.
