7.3 Powerstroke IDM- Rebuilt and Upgraded by Diesel Technology of Chattanooga

This specific listing covers all years of the 7.3 Powerstroke, and you have the option of a stock-spec unit or upgrading to a 140V high-current unit. High-voltage, high-current units activate the injector more quickly, hold it open (poppet valve open) more firmly, and keep it open for a slightly longer period. The result is snappier acceleration and a more responsive truck.

After the rebuilding and modification are complete, each IDM is subjected to a 20-point test on the test bench. Then, it is run continuously for 30 minutes at 3000 RPM and 3.0 milliseconds of injector pulse width, which is longer and harder than you could ever run a truck in real life (and if you could, all your pistons would be melted). 

Please note: Occasionally, these modded IDMs may trigger a P1298 code. This is bogus code; it does not trigger the CEL or affect the unit's functionality; however, if you need to pass emissions, it will cause you to fail.

All units come with a 3-year, unlimited-mile warranty. If your PCM or IDM fails after the 3-year warranty period, repair is half the price of a new unit.
